What does AWANA stand for?

Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.

At AWANA, our leaders are dedicated to teaching the Gospel, God’s Word, and God’s love to these kids, and in turn, teaching the kids how they can share what they learn with friends, family, and neighbors and be a witness for God, no matter their age.
Cubbies is for potty-trained preschoolers ages 3 to 5. Our leaders assist in the development of their knowledge and recognition of God, His Word and His Son. Each week, we incorporate God’s promises and applications in an age appropriate story about our mascot Cubbie Bear and his friends. In addition, there is a craft and activity to go along with a weekly memory verse. We will discuss where in the bible the memory verse comes from and why it is important. The children also have play time and a snack. Please let us know of all allergies when you register but be assured we are a peanut free zone.
Cubbies meets from 6PM-7:30PM each Wednesday night from August through May.
Sparks is for children Kindergarten through 2nd grade. Sparks start out the evening in Game Time, where they learn the importance of teamwork and cheering for their friends in these fun, organized games. Then they go to Large Group Time where they learn a lesson from the Bible and how it can apply to their own lives. For the last half hour of the night, the kids split up for Small Group Time where they talk about the lesson more in-depth, and recite the Bible verses they memorized from their book the past week. Occasionally there is an activity or coloring page that goes along with the lesson that they work on in their Small Group.
Sparks meets from 6PM-7:30PM each Wednesday night from August through May.
