The Missions Ministry of Green Valley Baptist Church has the goal of always leading people to intimacy with Christ and leading them to follow Him in their daily lives. In addition to supporting the Cooperative Program of the Southern Baptist Convention, which supports thousands of missionaries across the globe and throughout the United States, Green Valley has helped start several new churches.

We are also involved in other local and international mission trips and projects.

College Park Baptist Church is a campus of GVBC. College Park is a church in the heart of the city… with a heart for the city.

The Las Vegas Rescue Mission is another ministry that we partner with. They have many different programs ranging from short-term housing to long-term rehabilitation and recovery programs. They also serve thousands of meals each week to those who are hungry.

Calvary Downtown Outreach is based out of College Park and holds an outreach every Saturday to minister to the homeless. They worship the Lord, have a quick sermon, feed the homeless lunch, and pray one-on-one with those that need it. Green Valley sponsors CDO and supplies the volunteers several times a year.

Colina De Luz is an orphanage in La Gloria, Mexico, that we partner with. Each year a group from Green Valley travels to the orphanage to work alongside the kids and staff from the orphanage in a community outreach project.

Mission Trip
Pastor Ben Day, Greg Gonzalez, and James Vogt are back from their mission trip to Rome to work with refugees. Pastor Ben gave a small recap during his sermon “Blessed to Be a Blessing” Click here to view this update.
We hope that this will be the first of many teams that we send to do mission work in that area. Please begin to pray for this team and for the people that they met while in Rome, that God may take the seeds planted and flourish them. Please also pray for future teams.
If you would like to financially support this team, you can make a donation to “Mission” through the church.

For more information about any of the ministries listed above, please contact the church office.

And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always to the end of the age.”
