Dr. Rob Boyd
A native of Mississippi, Rob Boyd has served as Pastor since 2003. He and his wife Lisa have been married over 26 years and have two adult sons, Stephen and Michael. An accountant by trade, Pastor Rob went on a mission trip to Jamaica in 1984 where he committed his life to full time Christian ministry. He has Masters and Doctorate degrees from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He began his ministry as a Student Pastor in El Paso, TX. and previously served as Pastor of two Churches in Mississippi before coming to Green Valley. He has a deep love for missions and his life passion is reflected in our Church mission statement… Making a Difference in Las Vegas for the Kingdom of God.
David Simpson has been the Worship Pastor at Green Valley for over 15 years. Originally from Yuma, Arizona, He and his wife Annette are the parents of three children- Connor, Chloe, and Caleb. After graduating from Northern Arizona University in 1987 Dave was a television producer for several years at a large church in Phoenix before becoming a worship pastor. He enjoys ministering at the Las Vegas city jail monthly, as well as spending time with his family on adventures in Nevada, Arizona, and California.
Director of Children’s Ministries is Carmen Harris. Carmen has training in Christian Leadership and Biblical Counseling. Her heart is to disciple children from birth through elementary school and develop in them a heart to know Jesus as Lord and Savior and live for Him their entire lives.
Ben Day and his family moved to Henderson from their hometown of Baton Rouge, Louisiana in August of 2015. He and wife Alana, married since 2011, welcomed their first son, Ezekiel, in September of 2015. A 2011 graduate of LSU, Ben is also an alumnus of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary where he received a Master of Divinity in 2014. He previously served as the Student Pastor at his home church in Baton Rouge.
Byron Fielder worked in the corporate world in the areas of accounting and taxation for over 30 years before being called into full-time ministry as Administrative Pastor in 2015. He and his wife Daphne have been members of GVBC since 1999. In his spare time, Byron enjoys fishing and playing with his German Shepherd, Shelby.
