KIDS MINISTRY

As a church, we seek to partner with and encourage parents as they seek to rear their children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. One of the ways we do this is through Child Dedication. This is when the family presents their child before the congregation, making a public commitment to rear their child in a way that honors God. It is also a time for the congregation to commit to coming alongside the family with prayer support, ministry offerings like Sunday School and Vacation Bible School, all in an effort to reinforce the training the child is receiving at home. Baptism is one of the two ordinances which Christ has called the church to observe. For the individual believer it is a step of obedience to His command, a public statement of their willingness to be identified with Him, and a picture of their death to self and resurrection to a new spiritual life. The Bible does not teach infant baptism, it teaches that baptism is for those who have chosen to follow Christ. A child who has chosen to follow Jesus is eligible for baptism. If your child wants to be baptized call the church office at 702-434-1906 to set up a time for you to come in, with your child, and visit with Pastor Calvin.
