DNOW or Discipleship Now is a weekend of service, worship, small groups, fellowship and Bible study designed to help students connect with God and grow in their relationship with Him. Our Theme is Upstream: The world culture is a strong river raging against God’s way and toward a great fall. It would be easy for us to simply float along, but God calls His people to go against the flow, choosing Christ-centered living in a self-centered world.
DNOW Weekend starts Friday, February 16 at 6:00 PM in the Ministry Center for the iBalance Seminar. Parents are encouraged to attend with your student.
Then, we meet back in the Ministry Center at 9:30 AM on Saturday, February 17 to discuss our service project and then we will head to our project and dinner at Chick-Fil-A.
We meet back in the Ministry Center at 6:00 PM for a time of worship, a message, and some discussion. We will then go to our host homes. You will be provided address and phone number of your student’s location once those details are solidified. At the host homes we will have some further discussion and games. Pack for overnight, pjs, clothes for Sunday, Bible etc.
We will travel together to church on Sunday, February 18 together for Summit AM at 9:30 AM, wearing our matching T-Shirts. A group of us will also attend the 11:00 AM church service together for those who choose to stay.
There will be no Summit PM on February 18. Details are still being ironed out and a follow up email prior to the event.
Cost is $20 including T-shirt and dinner.
If you have any questions or would like to volunteer, please email Pastor Connor at connor@mygvbc.com. We hope you join us!!
